Join UYSA for World Cup celebrations, events, & prizes
The 2022 World Cup is right around the corner and set to take place from November 20 through December 18 in Qatar. As 32 teams battle it out for eternal glory, including the USMNT, Utah Youth Soccer will be hosting several events to celebrate the tournament.
World Cup Bracket Challenge
To celebrate the tournament, UYSA has created a bracket challenge that is open to all coaches, referees, players and their family members. Each participant will fill out one bracket by selecting World Cup match outcomes through the group stage and knockout rounds. The UYSA bracket challenge will adhere to the MLS platform rules and the top three brackets will be awarded prizes at the conclusion of the tournament.
First Place: Adidas 2022 World Cup Match Ball
Second Place: USA World Cup Soccer Jersey
Third Place: Two 2023 RSL Tickets

Social Media Trick Challenge
While plenty of tricks and moves will take place on the fields in Qatar, UYSA wants to see what kind of tricks our players can do!
Through the first two weeks of the World Cup, UYSA will be accepting video entries for our social media challenge. In order to be considered for entry, applicants must follow us on our Instagram page and submit a video of themselves performing a juggling or trick shot that’s less than 30 seconds. Once gathered, UYSA will post a collection of entries to be voted on by our followers. The top two entries will be awarded prizes at the conclusion of the contest.
Applicants are limited to one entry and must be 18 years of age or younger.

World Cup Tournament
Embracing the spirit of competition, UYSA will be hosting two World Cup futsal tournaments at the Calle Facility (625 S 600 W SLC, UT, 84101) in Salt Lake City on Friday, December 2 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The tournaments will be a last-man standing single elimination competition involving all participants in the designated groups. Players will advance through each round by scoring goals. The player who is unable to score a goal will be eliminated each round. The top three finalists will be awarded prizes at the the end of each tournament.
Each group will be capped at 20 participants (40 total).

U13 - U15 Group A (5:30 - 6:30 p.m.)
U13 - U15 Group B (4:30 - 5:30 p.m.)

All USMNT matches will be shown at our office on a large projector and UYSA members are invited to come support the Stars and Stripes along with us. The following is a schedule of the United States matches that will be streamed at the UYSA office.
Note: The office will be closed from November 23rd through the 27th for Thanksgiving.
