Team Information

 Salt City SC (formerly Ogden City S.C.) is the first pre-professional league franchise to be owned and operated by a youth soccer state association. The team has participated in USL League Two (Formally PDL) since the Summer of 2018. The team consists of athletes from all over the country looking to take the next step in their development as they continue their soccer careers. The team plays its home games at America First Field & the Zions Bank Real Academy.

Eric Landon 

Head Coach

Eric Landon is currently the Technical Director for Utah Youth Soccer Association. Landon's experience is wide-ranging, most recently as an Assistant Coach for UVU Men's soccer for the 2017 season, he was also an Assistant/GK coach for UVU during the 2016 season. He works with the Utah ODP and has done so since 2001 as a head coach and goalkeeper trainer.

Landon has also held instructor positions with U.S. Soccer and the USC, and holds a U.S. Soccer 'A' License, U.S. Soccer National Goalkeeper License, U.S. Soccer National Youth License, and the USC Premier Diploma. 

He has also served as the technical director for the Forza Futbol Club, formerly known as Utah Rush, as head coach of the Viewmont  High School girl’s team, as an assistant coach on the Real Salt Lake Youth Academy team, and earlier in his career was an assistant coach with Southern Utah University women’s soccer.

Landon’s professional playing career began in 1998 with the USL Division 3 Arizona Sahurous. He also played with TSV Ludwigsburg in Germany, for the USL A Sacramento Geckos and the USL Division 3 Utah Blitzz.
 
Landon presently resides in Farmington, Utah, with his wife Kim and two daughters, Makena and Addison.


Pat Otte

Assistant Coach 

1st Season

Pat Otte joined Wasatch Soccer Club in 2021 from California where he began his coaching career.  He got into coaching after his professional career, which started at the age of 16 when he moved to England to play for Middlesbrough Football Club.  After three years in England, he was offered a contract at the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the NASL where he spent two seasons, before moving on to Leeds United for a short duration and finally ending his professional career for Jacksonville Armada in the NASL.

After a wonderful experience playing professionally in England and in the United States, Pat was hit with five knee surgeries that forced him to retire from the game at the age of 25.  Since then, he has been growing as a coach and leader by obtaining his BS and MS in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University.


Devin Zimmerman

Assistant/Goalkeeper Coach

Devin Zimmerman is currently the Head of Goalkeeping for 7 Elite Academy as well as the University of Utah Womens Soccer Goalkeeper Coach. His professional career has been one of multiple roles in the soccer arena as a Player, Coach, Trainer and Director of Coaching. He holds a USSF National C License, and a USC Goalkeeper Diploma.

Devin has coached with Utah Steam, FC United, Weber State University, Outlaws FC and at Southern Virginia University. He has also spent 5 years on the Utah ODP coaching staff.

After a successful high school career- 2 years All-State Team MVP, Devin continued his education and soccer career at NCAA Division II Fort Lewis College and went on to play professionally and semi professionally. First winning a NPSL Championship with The Salt Rats, then in the USL with The Portland Timbers in 2006 and finally in the PDL with The Ogden Outlaws from 2007-2012. As an amateur player on the USASA National Team Devin was on the 2004-2008 Utah Select Team, a member of the 2005 Region 4 Championship Team, and a member of the 2004-2005 and 2007 National Teams.
