Advice from UYSA Alumni Playing at the Next Level
“I can be a voice. I can use my platform to help the younger generation. I think it's really important for them to understand how to do things the right way, and not just in sports, in life in general.”
— Allyson Felix, US Olympic Champion

“My dreams and goals have always been to play professional soccer and I thought this was one of my last opportunities to give it a shot. The season with Ogden City SC was challenging and helped me develop even more as a player. I couldn’t be more grateful to Coach Landon and my teammates there as I was blessed to play for the inaugural season in Ogden.
I started promoting myself and looking for an agent to help me find a professional contract. An opportunity came about in Australia and I am so happy to have another chance at bettering myself as a player and doing what I love.”
—Payden Pemberton, Class of 2013
Utah Valley University
“To become a collegiate athlete the first thing you need to do is believe in yourself. Nothing is impossible as long as you dedicate yourself to it. Work hard, stay positive, respect your teammates, and most importantly, have fun!.”
— Sydney Simmons, Class of 2019
