Update on Presidents Cup 2021

Boys & Girls Presidents Cup 13U-18U Officially Cancelled in February

UYSA Continues to Look to Reschedule for a Future Date

Mesquite, NV - 01/14/2021

The governor of Nevada mandated a “pause” on youth sports that was scheduled to expire on January 15th. Utah Youth Soccer Association’s staff has been waiting on his update to make a determination if hosting a Presidents Cup in February would be possible. Unfortunately, we received the update yesterday which did not go in our favor - Governor Sisolak decided to extend the pause on youth sports until February 12th. Due to this decision, we are forced to cancel both girls and boys Presidents Cups in the 13U-18U age groups. (Girls and Boys 10U-12U had previously been cancelled)

We will begin processing refunds to all teams today (if you haven’t already requested one). If you paid by credit card you’ll be refunded to the original form of payment. If you paid by check or Echeck, we will get you a check cut and mailed by January 20th.

Please know we have exhausted every option of relocating/rescheduling the tournament but it just wasn’t feasible to do so in the month of February. We will continue to explore options for hosting the tournament sometime this Spring as our top priority is providing teams a platform to qualify for Regional Presidents Cup hosted here in SLC in June.

Thanks for your continued support of Presidents Cup and we hope to see everyone this Spring.
